{"id":1191,"date":"2017-10-05T10:26:45","date_gmt":"2017-10-05T15:26:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.dexter.lib.mi.us\/wp\/?p=1191"},"modified":"2017-12-28T14:31:23","modified_gmt":"2017-12-28T19:31:23","slug":"internet-use-for-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.dexter.lib.mi.us\/wp\/children\/internet-use-for-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Internet Use for Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Computers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Dexter District Library has four public use computer terminals for children. \u00a0These computers have Windows 7 and are loaded with the Microsoft Office 2007 suite. \u00a0Full color printing is available for 20 cents a page.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">We encourage children of all ages to visit and enjoy the library.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Children ages six through eleven may use all areas of the Library alone, but a parent or other adult must be on the Library premises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Children aged twelve and over are welcome to use the Library without an adult on the premises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Borrowing Cards<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Up to the age of 16, children may have their own borrowing card with parental permission. Parents are responsible for what their children borrow and for assuring that materials are returned or replaced when lost.
