 of the World is a sweeping story about the global actors and global dimen
 sions of the American Revolution.  Join historian and author Richard Bell
  for a reconsideration of the American Revolution\, exploring the global i
 mpacts of the war for independence\, a seismic global event that redrew ma
 ps and toppled hierarchies across six continents. Through the stories of t
 he diverse people displaced\, empowered\, or destroyed by the war\, Bell o
 ffers a bold new framework for understanding the Revolution as a complex\,
  international struggle.\n\nAbout the Presenter:\n\nRichard Bell is Profes
 sor of History at the University of Maryland and author of the book Stolen
 : Five Free Boys Kidnapped into Slavery and their Astonishing Odyssey Home
  which was a finalist for the George Washington Prize and the Harriet Tubm
 an Prize. He has held major research fellowships at Yale\, Cambridge\, and
  the Library of Congress and is the recipient of the National Endowment of
  the Humanities Public Scholar award and the Andrew Carnegie Fellowship. H
 is new book\, “The American Revolution and the Fate of the World\,” wa
