 ick Veine[/caption]\n\nAn Evening of Pre-War Blues Music is a musical and
  historical survey of the Blues from the turn of the 20th Century until Wo
 rld War II. It covers the heavy hitters of acoustic blues music from Blind
  Lemon Jefferson to Charley Patton\, Robert Johnson\, Muddy Waters and mor
 e. This presentation touches on the longstanding tradition of the disenfra
 nchisement of people of African descent\, how that mistreatment created th
 e Blues\, and the indelible mark left on American Music and Art.\n\nAbout 
 the Presenter:\n\nNick Veine is a singer-songwriter and composer born and 
 raised in Manistee\, MI. He grew up playing rock and blues before he start
 ed singing\, pivoting to acoustic music without losing that electric flair
 . His passion encouraged him to attend Berklee College of Music\, where he
  earned his Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Writing &amp\; Production as
  well as a Minor in American Roots Music before completing his Master of M
 usic in Classical Composition at Belmont University. He performs an eclect
 ic mix of pop tunes\, original music\, and traditional folk &amp\; blues a
 s a solo act and with other phenomenal musicians across the state.\n\nThis
  program will be in the Library’s lower-level meeting room. Registration
