DESCRIPTION:\n\nMindo is an award winning\, internationally recognized choc
 olate that got it’s start in Dexter.\n\nMindo chocolate is made with 100
 % Ecuadorian "flavor" beans. Cacao originated in the Amazon basin in Ecuad
 or and the cacao tree variety is called Nacional (or criollo).  It is co
 nsidered to be in the top 2% of quality cacao beans. Nacional only grows 
 in Ecuador.\n\nMindo beans are chosen from select cocoa pods. Choosing onl
 y the best condition pods ensures the best flavor chocolate. The chosen b
 eans are then taken to their small farm in Mindo\, Ecuador where they ferm
 ent and dry the beans. The fermentation process that is carefully control
 led as it is critical for developing the smoothest\, best flavored chocola
 te. Mindo beans are not exposed to any contaminants as the Mindo Farm is 
 a certified organic farm.\n\nCome learn about the Mindo process of chocola

 al program - “We Are Dexter.” Every month from January through Decembe
 r the Library will host a program featuring individuals and groups that ma
 ke up the Dexter community. These presentations will include artists\, aut
 hors\, musicians and individuals who have a hobby\, talent\, experience or
  story that makes them part of the fabric of our town.
