SUMMARY:We Are Dexter: Mindful Meditation
DESCRIPTION:\n\nMindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on 
 being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment\,
  without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breat
 hing methods\, guided imagery\, and other practices to relax the body and 
 mind and help reduce stress.\n\nJoin Dexter resident Doreen M. Murasky\, 
 LMSW and learn about her experience as a Mindful Meditation instructor\, 
 what drew her to the discipline\, her training and the benefits she has ex
 perienced in her personal life.  This program will also discuss how mindf
 ulness meditation works\, provide time for a sample meditation practice an
 d give attendees a chance to ask questions.\n\nThis program will be in the
  Library’s lower-level meeting room. Registration is appreciated. Scroll

 m is part of the Dexter District Library’s yearlong Bicentennial program
  - “We Are Dexter.” Every month from January through December the Libr
 ary will host a program featuring individuals and groups that make up the 
 Dexter community. These presentations will include artists\, authors\, mus
 icians and individuals who have a hobby\, talent\, experience or story tha
 t makes them part of the fabric of our town.
