DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin us on either September 22\, September 29 or October 2\
 , 2022\, when over 100\,000 film lovers in over 250 cities across six cont
 inents gather in Cinemas\, Museums\, Libraries and Universities for one pu
 rpose...to view and vote on the Finalists' Films in the 25th  Annual MANH
 ATTAN SHORT Film Festival.\n\nUpon entry\, festival attendees are handed a
  Voting Card and an Official Program. Attendees will view (10) short films
  and will vote for the ONE Film and Actor they feel should win.  Votes ar
 e tallied by the library then emailed to MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival’s
  NYC headquarters.\n\nAll films selected will be eligible for an Oscar nom
 ination. MANHATTAN SHORT does a full week's run in one Cinema in the count
 y of Los Angeles. This theatre booking means every film selected as a Fina
 list in the 2021 MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival will be eligible to enter t
 he Oscars. MANHATTAN SHORT is now in compliance with the rules governing t
 he Oscar Awards set forth by the Academy of Motion Pictures of Arts and Sc
 iences. A.M.P.A.S.\n\nMANHATTAN SHORT films have been to the Oscars before
 !  Many past Finalists from MANHATTAN SHORT have been nominated for an Os
 car (SHOK and Bear Story from 2015\, to name just two). Our audiences a
 nd cinemas love nothing more than seeing a film they voted for at MANHATTA
 N SHORT at the Oscars. Once a nominee is announced\, our partnering cinema
 s and loyal audiences champion those films and filmmakers through social m
 edia all the way to the podium!\n\nThis program will be onsite in the Libr
 ary’s Lower Level meeting room.\n\nThis program will be repeated on Sund
 ay\, October 2 at 2:00 p.m.   This program will last approximately 2 hou
 rs with a 10-minute intermission. You will view 10 short films in total. 
  This program is for adults.  These films have not been rated. Registrati
