SUMMARY:I Can’t Remember If I Cried: Rock Widows on Life\, Love and Legac
 y
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe stories of rock musicians who die young are the thing o
 f lore and legend. Accidents\, drug overdoses\, plane crashes—all have t
aken the lives of male rock stars still in their primes. But what became o
f their widowed brides? How did they survive a loss so great?\n\nFormer De
xter resident Lori Tucker-Sullivan spent seven years locating and intervie
wing the widows of her favorite rock stars after the death of her husband
Kevin in 2010. Previous to her life as an author\, Lori was known as part
of the family that renovated the Henes farmstead in Dexter Township. Named
one of the Library Journal’s Best Nonfiction of 2024\, I Can't Remembe
r if I Cried: Rock Widows on Life\, Love and Legacy\, chronicles fourteen
widows of Lori's favorite rock stars and what they taught her (and can tea
ch all of us) about grief. Though she studied music journalism in college\
, she took a different path\, including purchasing the abandoned farmhouse
in Dexter. After Kevin's passing\, she knew that returning to music writi
ng would provide a way forward. Writing the book allowed her to learn abou
t the rock stars she'd have written of\, but now through the lens of the w
omen who loved them. In this presentation\, Lori will speak about writing
 the book\, share behind-the-scenes stories\, and discuss her full-circle p
ath beyond grief to a life of creativity and wonder.\n\nAbout the presente

t required. Scroll down to register  or call the Library at 734-426-4477
