 he same night as the Great Chicago Fire while the 1881 fire led to the bi
 rth of one of the most important aid organizations in the world and reveal
 ed ancient secrets hidden under centuries of brush and overgrowth. Hear th
 e stories of these forgotten tragedies and how they shape up still today.\
 n\nAbout the presenter\n\nAndrew Kercher has a degree in history and Phi
 losophy from Albion College and a MS in Historic Preservation from EMU. H
 e has worked at museums around the state\, living in the Straits of Mackin
 ac for nearly a decade. He is currently the Community Engagement Manager i
 n his home town of Port Huron where he lives with his wife and two wonderf
 ul cats\, Gilbert and Sullivan. When not talking about history\, he can us
 ually be found working on his 1958 Packard or antique firearm collection.\
