DESCRIPTION:\n\nGoogle Alerts notify genealogists when information about th
 eir ancestors is published online in the U.S. or in the home country of im
 migrant ancestors. Learn tips for creating the most effective Google Alert
 s in a who-when-where format\, utilizing a variety of search operators\, a
 s well as techniques for managing the delivery of these notifications.\n\n
 About the Presenter:\n\nKatherine R. Willson of Ann Arbor\, Michigan is an
  engaging &amp\; dynamic genealogy lecturer at local\, regional and nati
 onal conferences\; an educator teaching beginning\, intermediate\, and adv
 anced genealogy classes in Michigan since 2001\; the author of The Geneal
 ogist’s Guide to Grand Rapids\, Michigan (published in 2018 by The In-D
 epth Genealogist)\, and a professional researcher for private clients.\n\
 nThis program will be in-person in the Library's Lower level Meeting Room.
  Registration is Required.\n\nThe Library has updated its programming atte
 ndance requirements.  Face coverings optional but encouraged in group set
 tings.  Face covering requirements are subject to change without notice.
   Registration is required for in-person programming.\n\nDuring the Sprin
 g of 2022\, the Dexter District Library will require registration for all 
 indoor\, in-person programs.  Registrants will need to register all membe
 rs of their party.  During this time\, only pre-registered attendees will
  be seated.  To provide for adequate social distancing\, the Library wil
 l need to limit the number of in-person attendees at each program.  Past
  attendance patterns for in-person events would frequently exceed current 
 COVID-19 capacity limits.  Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.  The Library
  will continue to monitor COVID-19 conditions and the Library Board will r
 eview these requirements on a monthly basis.\n
