DESCRIPTION:Contest ends Friday\, August 1\n\nGrades 5 through 12\n\nSubmit
  an original photo of the colorful world around you for a chance to win a 
 gift card. Be sure to get creative and have fun!  Submit up to one photo 
 in three different categories:\n\n 	Colors of Nature - The natural world h
 as so many colors in it! Snap a pic of a plant\, animal\, or natural landm
 ark to show us the beauty and art that can be found in nature.\n 	Work of 
 Art - This can be anything that is a work of art to you - it could be some
 thing you've made\, art you find in your summer travels and adventures\, o
 r even an artistic photo of a person. Be as creative with this category as
  you can!\n 	Pet Portrait - Snap a picture of a furry friend! It can be yo
 ur pet or even a stuffed animal.\n\nRULES &amp\; DETAILS:\n\nParticipants 
 must be entering grades 5 through 12 in the fall of 2025.\nAll entries mus
 t be participant’s own\, original photographs.\nPhotos may be manipulate
 d for artistic purposes.\nEntries will be judged in three categories:  Co
 lors of Nature\, Work of Art\, and Pet Portrait.\nParticipants may submit 
 up to one photo in each of the three categories.\nAll categories are open 
 for interpretation.\nComposition\, originality\, and technique will be con
 sidered in judging.\nDeadline for all entries is Friday\, August 1\, 2025.
 \nTwo winners will be chosen in each of the three categories.\nWinners wil
 l be announced by Friday\, August 15\, 2025.\nPhoto entries will be posted
  in the Library’s Teen Zone and on the Library’s website.\n\nAll entri
 es must be emailed to the Teen/Tween Librarian at mhall@dexter.lib.mi.us 
 and must include the following:\n\n 	 Participant’s First and Last Name
 \n 	 Grade entering this fall of 2025\n\n 	 Category for Each Photo Subm
 ission\n
