DESCRIPTION:\n\nBerlin has been called edgy\, poor (financially)\, rich (cu
 lturally)\, liberal\, exciting\, historical\, international\, and never-en
 ding. Mariya Fogarasi has lived in Germany on four different occasions for
  a total of 29 years\, including - and most recently - ten years in Berlin
 \, where she hosted countless guests and loved giving city tours.  She al
 so served on the board of the Berlin Historical Association.  Her slidesh
 ow presentation will focus on historical highlights of a city which has jo
 ined other major European capitals as a "must see" and which will mark the
  80th anniversary of its World War II capitulation on May 8\, 2025.\n\nThi
 s program will be in the Library’s lower-level meeting room. Registratio
