DESCRIPTION:\n\nLiving in the Eastern United States\, we look forward to th
 e fall if only for the jewel-like displays of autumn foliage. Although we
 ’ve known for a while "How" woody plants change color\, we’ve not been
  as certain as to the “Why” of it. Learn about the chemical and biolog
 ical processes that go into our annual fall fashion show and get a glimpse
  of the beauties of our own native species as they go through their annual
  transformation.\n\nAbout the presenter:\n\nCheryl M. English\, a long-tim
 e resident of the metropolitan Detroit area. Having earned a BA in Art His
 tory from Michigan State University and an MA in Art History and Archology
  from Cornell University\, she realized she much preferred making art to d
 issecting it. Her studio\, Black Cat Pottery\, combines her passion for po
 ttery &amp\; gardening.  As an Advanced Master Gardener (certified throug
 h Wayne County Extension)\, her abiding interest in things natural – and
  indigenous – is reflected in her unique designs. Cheryl’s work has be
 en featured in The Detroit News Homestyle Section and Handmade Business
  Magazine.\n\nThis program will be in the Library’s Lower Level meeting
