DESCRIPTION:Let’s gather all together now for this 2023 Summer Reading la
 unch event. Professional Storytellers Jane Fink\, Steve Daut and Genot Pic
 or will share stories about times people came together and formed unique h
 istorical communities. Jane will tell of the overnight community that spra
 ng up in 1849\, around Sutters Mill\, California\, when gold was discovere
 d and the great Gold Rush began. Jane's great grandfather journeyed from W
 ales to California seeking his fortune during the gold rush. Steve will te
 ll a "mash up" of his experiences with community clean ups after Hurricane
  Camille (1969) and Hurricane Maria (2017). Genot will share stories from 
 the French communities that existed in Michigan in the 1710s to 1800.\n\nT
 his program will be in the Library’s Lower Level meeting room. Registrat
